THANK YOU!******* AUTHENTIC Antique White Border FIRE DEPARTMENT and COMMUNITY LIFE THEMED Postcard PC Postmarked 1920. Card is posted with a one cent stamp and a message written in ink. Depicts in GREAT DETAIL the FIRE DEPARTMENT in BARBERTON, OHIO OH which is in Summit County and is considered a suburb of AKRON, OH. It's a nice little community of just over 25,000 in population as of the 2020 census. The beautiful old, brick FIRE HOUSE is shown along with 2 FIRE ENGINES. Actually, the 2nd vehicle looks more like a RESCUE SQUAD (today's version of an AMBULANCE). You can see up in the BELFRY the FIRE BELL that would RING TO SIGNIFY that the NEWS of a FIRE had come in. Card is in GOOD CONDITION according to the Postcard Rating System with mild corner wear except for the lower left corner which has more what would be considerered a minor crease. There is a more moderate crease along the lower border of the card. This is a HIGH INTEREST card, however, and all the ACTIVITY and GREAT APPEARANCE of the SUBJECT MATTER really distract from any of the aforementioned flaws in my opinion. Otherwise, I see no evidence of edge wear, rips, tears, bends, or pinholes. But, please see photos and you be the judge. FIRE DEPARTMENT THEMED POSTCARDS ARE EXTREMELY POPULAR RIGHT NOW.
