Description: 1959 Topps #282 R. C. Stevens Pittsburg Pirates PSA 6 EX-MT This is a mid-level PSA 7 R. C. Stevens card with nice corners, straight edges, and centering measuring 70/30 (L-R) in a clean, clear slab. New slab Clear back ‘59 Stevens played sparingly in the majors but is credited with four years of service. A lifetime .210 average at 1b, without enough at bats to establish enough power to impress, he was at a disadvantage being a left handed thrower but a right handed batter without enough power to support a poor average. He had one season in ‘58 when he had 97 plate appearances in 58 games with 7 home runs and a .267 average. But that wasn’t enough to see him stick a little longer and ended his career in the minors in the 63 season.
