The luxurious leather green boards are in good condition. There is really only minor shelf wear to speak of, including some rubbing/scuffing. The gilt design and lettering on the front and spine is bright and clear. The same goes for the page ends, which are gilted on all sides, albeit with mild foxing. The spine is straight and the binding is tight and square. There are gorgeous pastedowns and endpapers which are in fine shape. On the inside, there is some mild soiling/foxing to the first few pages up to the title page. All other pages are clean and in great shape with no marks or tears. There are many, many black-and-white photos and illustrations. The work done by Lynn Bogue Hunt is impressive and his full-color plates of big game fish are really beautiful!
