Description: Up for sale here is a necklace made from a millefiori elbow bead made in Italy for the Venetian-African trade market. Lovely, satin matte finish that comes with age and much handling. The elbow bead is strung alongside African Heishi disk beads, which are made from recycled vinyl. They are worn either as necklaces or around the waist on the African continent and are particularly popular because of their bright colours and light weight. There is a simple sterling silver hook clasp, making this necklace easy to wear, and relatively lightweight for a substantial piece of unisex jewellery. Old beads, with wear which I have tried to show in the photos. It is to be expected with beads of their age. The stringing is new and sturdy. The necklace is ready to wear. It is very difficult to show the true colour on a computer screen; each screen has slightly different settings, so although the colours look true to me, you may see them slightly brighter or darker.
