Description: Antique Baccarat double clematis paperweight in pale blue with striped petals c.1850. This beautiful paperweight measures 2 and 1/2 inches in diameter, with a height of 1 and 3/4 inches. The glass is clear and heavy typical of an antique Baccarat paperweight c. 1850. The artistry is exceptional, with a complex blue clematis of striped pale blue petals and a pink stardust centre cane on green leave with two more blue buds .There is a star-cut base, also typical of antique Baccarat paperweights. The paperweight has a small ding on the star cut base and the side towards the bottom of the weight shows the remnant of an impact fracture but can't be felt. Otherwise nice condition .. This is a fine and beautiful example of an Antique Baccarat paperweight from the mid-19th century. In the US we ship via the USPS priority mail, with insurance, for a flat fee of $18.
