Description: Guaranteed Authentic Disneyland Prop. When was Disneyland popcorn 40 cents? A long time ago! Popcorn starts at $5.50 currently. My research estimates that the 40 cent popcorn price was about 50 years ago, around 1975. These metal price signs hung from the top of Disneyland Popcorn Carts (also known as Cretors) to let guests know how much a box of delicious park popcorn would cost them. The third photo in my listing is a reference photo I found on the internet that shows what a cart looked like with the hanging metal popcorn sign. The photo is for reference only and not included in this listing... this listing is only for the 40 cent sign. Several years ago I purchased this from a former cast member along with other park props. It appears to be hand-painted onto metal. It has two holes in the top that were used to hang the price sign from the cart's ceiling. Photos show both sides. The front is clean but the back shows wear from its long time use in the park. You can click on my photos and then zoom in on them to see a lot of detail. Note that shipment of this item requires a signature from the buyer upon arrival at your home, per eBay policy. Size: About 11 by 6 inches, by 1/8 of an inch thick.
