Description: BLUE CORN San Ildefonso Pueblo Pottery Native American Jar Bowl Avanyu water serpent. Decorated around the outside with Avanyu (also Awanyu), a Tewa deity, the guardian of water. Represented as a horned or plumed serpent with curves suggestive of flowing water or the zig-zag of lightning. Signed on bottom by Blue Corn (Crucita Calabaza 1921-1999). No chips, cracks or repairs. Has light scratches on the outer surface as shown on pictures. Measures approximately 7.5 inches diameter wide, 3 inches tall. Please see all pictures for exact details.
