(this listing Does NOT have outer sheath) Please see my pictures of owners manual above. It says lubrication is needed when you first put this shaft into the table saw for first time use. Please use a quality grease. Then after every 80-100 hours of use re-grease this for proper function. If the table saw has not been used for long periods of time the flex cable should be removed and re-greased. This is direct from the craftsman owner manual.
