Description: Craftsman Crown Logo Machinist Toolbox It has 7 drawers as well as the approximately 4" deep top compartment. Measures approximately 20” wide x 13½” high x 8½” deep. Smooth gliding drawers. Secure latches and handle. There was a time, and not that long ago, when a person was looking for quality tools the place to go to was Sears and the Craftsman line of tools. The quality of the Craftsman line of tools was exceptional. Sadly, the Craftsman line of tools is not what it once was. There is no wonder all Craftsman tools are highly sought after. Yes, it is a fact that Craftsman tools are still available, but one would have to question the overall quality of what was the foremost line of tools and quality equipment built in America. The exact age of this toolbox is unknown. What we do know is that the Crown Logo was used from 1960 to 1973, so this item was produced during that time. Many people believe that during this time is when Sears produced their best tools. There is a hole drilled through the bottom that can be seen in the 12th and 13th photos. This permitted the previous owner to attach this toolbox to his workbench. There is minimal rust as is shown in the photos. All the drawers slide easily. There is no key for this toolbox. The felt lining is long gone from the drawers. The top two small drawers are divided. The handle is secure. When closed all the drawers are secure.
