Description: The Fox and the Hound (1981) Original Production Animation Drawing This original rough animation drawing of Tod, one of the title characters, and Vixey, the vixen who works her magic on the young fox, was created by Disney animator Glen Keane in development of a scene in the animated feature. It is an animator’s extreme drawing with grid drawn at upper right. This is one of Mr. Keane's drawings, and he wrote the circled number "A-15" at upper and lower right to indicate this original's place in the scene. Red and black pencil on untrimmed animation sheet (12.5” x 15.5”), image size: 6"x 5.75". Glen Keane joined The Walt Disney Studios in 1974, and his first animation appeared in The Rescuers (1977). He was a supervising animator by the making of the studio's next feature—The Fox and the Hound. He was a freelance animator in the mid-1980s and returned to Disney's full-time for the making of Oliver & Company (1988).
