Volunteering in classes such as these gave her the practical application of program implementation and the chance to trial her plans. Believing that children like to help those around them, Sandra has drawn on her experience with children to create the Happy Helper series of childrens books. Mo Van Egmond is an independent artist and illustrator based in Newcastle. She has an interest in creative ventures of any kind and experience with a variety of mediums from fibre and traditional art, to digital and 3D media. Mo is most experienced in illustration, focusing primarily on creating imaginative and memorable character designs and scenes for both individual moments and full comics and books. Her primary interest is fantasy rooted in realism, creating works to capture the imaginations of her audience. Mo also has a passion for tattoo design, specifically for fine lines and blackwork, and has created designs for herself and others. Her interest in art began as a teenager and grew into pursuing a Bachelor of Creative Industries.
