Each Oscar weight 8 1/2 pounds, stands 13 1/2 inches tall and is made of gold-plated britannium, a metal alloy. Individually crafted, each statuette is created by Abundio Reyes in the hand casting department (top left); it then moves on to Alberto Jaime in the soldering department (top right); is dipped in copper, nickel, silver and 24-karat gold by Nunzio Giganti in the plating department (bottom left), and is wrapped and packaged by Bertha Fuentes in the figure wrapping department.Photo measures 10 x 8inches.
