Description: Shell LOT Tulip Triton Starfish Arrowhead Conus Cymbiola Cockle Blister Pearl This is an estate collection of 28 sea shells, pieces of coral, a dried starfish, and an arrowhead sand dollar. Some of the fun standouts include: 7" Charonia Tritonis that appears to be encrusted with crustose coralline algae or some similar type of reddish creatureA giant clamshell from Seal Rock, San Francisco, picked up in 1913!A blister pearl on a pinctada maxima shellA Cymbiola Vespertilio (this one has lost some of its surface from the ocean sand) Lots of really neat stuff here! I am not knowledgable about seashells. I am in the process of liquidating a large collection of seashells and coral from the estates of two long-deceased family members. They sat for years in boxes in my mother's garage, so although they're not pristine, they're still quite lovely. One family member, who lived in south Florida from the 1960s-1990s, collected shells and coral along the beach. The other family member was a world traveler from the early 1900s until the 1970s who collected shells from all her travels and purchased some as souvenirs. These two collections have been combined. NOTE: THE TRAY IS NOT INCLUDED. CONDITION: Ungraded. Some shells show wear and age. One shell in particular is missing a large piece. Please see photos as they are part of the description! SHIPPING: These will be carefully packaged and shipped via UPS Ground. Whenever possible, I use recycled materials for shipping; if you would prefer all-new materials, please let me know before you buy. Thank you for your interest! I am always happy to answer questions or send additional photos. Please don't hesitate to ask!
