Description: For sale is an example of an Antique primitive 18th C rush lamp with pointed arrow form rush jaws and counter-weighted with ball finials. It sits stably on it's tri-pod pointed arrow feet that matches the design of the rush jaw. This piece is in great condition with all wrought iron connections solid and no wobbles and functional opening and closing of the rush holder. This is a highly desirable piece for any collector of wrought iron, early lighting, or hearth tools. Rush lamps were very early forms of primitive lighting used in the 1700's in colonial America and used earlier in Europe as well. 10.5" tall and 5" base.
