The USPS issued 17 jumbo stamp image postcards of the Pacific Coast Rain Forest in 2000, and the Great Plains Prarie in 2001. The postcards were part of the Nature of America series (1999-2010), which depicted the beauty of America's ecological zones. The Pacific Coast Rain Forest set was the second in the series. The Pacific postcards were issued on March 29, 2000 in Seattle, WA. The set also included 10 33-cent self-adhesive stamps. The artist was John D. Dawson and the art director was Ethel Kessler.
