Description: Hello and thank you for looking at our eBay store and hope you enjoy what is being offered for sale. Listed here today for your viewing and purchase is this wonderful vintage Effanbee 15" composition doll. She has been somewhat of a mystery to me. While she is marked EFFANBEE between her shoulder blades, her head is unmarked. Originally I thought her to be a Dewees Cochran painted-eye doll, but doll experts, more knowledgable than I, suspect her to be a Sybil Jason doll. Nevertheless, she is lovely and displays beautifully! She has beautiful blue painted-on eyes and long chestnut brown human hair wig. Her wig has not been washed or brushed in a long time, but this is outside my level of expertise, and if her new mommy deems it necessary, I leave it up to her descretion; however, I think it looks fine as is. Her facial features retain her original high color on her eyes, lashes, eyebrows, cheeks, lips, nostrils. Even her knees show the slightest color of blush. She wears her tagged rayon dress with sash and matching panties and little leather gloves. Please note the left glove shows a little damage. It's not a hole, as it does not go through, but the leather has cracked over its many years. I believe her shoes to be replacements, although I could be mistaken, and her socks are definitely replacements. She wears her brass Effanbee bracelet with chair around her right wrist. (The shoes are definitely vintage because on the underside of one shoe is marked "75," meaning it originally cost 75 cents.) Her composition is in excellent condition, as seen in my photos. She is still nicely strung and will hold a post. Notice the light discoloration onher right wrist from the chair on her bracelet. Between her fingers on this same hand are a little soiled and probably have never been cleaned. I note some rub marks on right armpit. She is a rare girl and worthy of the nicest of collections! I will ship her lovingly wrapped and prepared for travel to her new home, fully insured, signature required upon arrival.
