Description: Next to last remaining Firestone tire from the inventory of a small Firestone dealership in Western MD that closed for good in 1996. My dad, the manager, kept this tire in his basement out of sunlight and moisture so there is no dry rot. As the original sticker and tire mold "hairs" attest, this tire has never been on a car. Tire size is 5.0x15, made in the USA in, my best guess from the serial #000868SR, the 1960s, but the only car it would fit to my knowledge were VWs of that era. The white stripe shows very white in the pics but is a bit dingy in sunlight.A word of caution: Tire manufacturers do not recommend driving on tires that are this old.
