Schultz dates to 1961-62 and Dooley dates to 1963 according to my research among other enthusiasts. Schultz Features a webco Germany maker mark on the bottom and shows a #2, I assume the 2 denotes edition. Dooley is marked “Western Germany”. Schultz’s lid hinge is loose at the handle end. Schultz has a manufacturing defect just below his collar. It looks like a crack but it does not go through to the inside. See photos There is some color loss on both steins and they were far cruder in manufacturing as compared to the current editions.
