Description: WHENEVER YOU NEED A LITTLE FANFARE, YOU CAN COUNT ON THE WHITE RABBIT TO BLOW HIS HORN FOR YOUR ENTRANCE! This exquisite figurine is a must-have for any Disney collector. The WDCC White Rabbit of Alice in Wonderland holding a trumpet is a stunning piece that will surely delight any fan. The intricate details of the white rabbit's outfit and the elegant design of the figurine make it a true work of art. Don't miss out on the chance to own this amazing piece of Disneyana. The figurine is approximately 3 1/2" tall. It comes in its original box and packaging along with a Certificate of Authenticity and a WDCC catalog/booklet. The piece was expertly sculpted by Disney Artist Bruce Lau. He was an Independent Dealer Exclusive and was only in production during the year 2004. I am listing this piece as Used, but I honestly don't think I ever displayed it. I know I used the White Rabbit with his watch when I first created an Alice scene. So I'm pretty sure this is New, but because I don't know, I'm listing as Used. Either way, it's an awesome piece that would work perfectly in your Alice or Disney collection. Here's a little more about Alice in Wonderland from Wikipedia: Alice in Wonderland is a 1951 American animated musical fantasy comedy film produced by Walt Disney Productions and released by RKO Radio Pictures. It is based on Lewis Carroll's 1865 novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and its 1871 sequel Through the Looking-Glass. The production was supervised by Ben Sharpsteen, and was directed by Clyde Geronimi, Wilfred Jackson, and Hamilton Luske. With the voices of Kathryn Beaumont, Ed Wynn, Richard Haydn, Sterling Holloway, Jerry Colonna, Verna Felton, J. Pat O'Malley, Bill Thompson, and Heather Angel, the film follows a young girl Alice who falls down a rabbit hole to enter a nonsensical world Wonderland that is ruled by the Queen of Hearts, while encountering strange creatures, including the Mad Hatter and the Cheshire Cat. Here's a little about the Walt Disney Classics Collection from their website: The Classics Collection started in 1992 with three scenes, Bambi, Cinderella, and Fantasia's Sorcerer Apprentice. Many other series have since been introduced. Some figurines are limited, and some have been retired. Some of these figurines have risen high on the secondary market. The figurines are made of porcelain, and the process is similar to that use to make Hummel figurines. Individual pieces are molded, put together, and fired in an oven. Then they are painted and fired again. Each figurine is marked on the bottom, signifying the year it was produced. The marks represent significant milestones in Disney history. The figurines with the first year mark are usually the most desirable.
