The front compartment has a snap closure and inside there is a place for a checkbook and pen, two clear plastic covered spots for photos. Also 9 slots for credit or insurance cards, and one plastic covered spot for a driver's license/id. In the zippered section, there are two lengthwise compartments for bills. There is also a 5 1/2" wide zipper on the back of the wallet for change, a key, etc. Just for an idea of the size, I have an iPhone that is 6 inches x 3 inches and it fits nicely in the zippered section.
